Take a Peek Into Our Process

For many, simply taking the first step towards treatment can be one of the hardest parts of their journey. For others, the unknown of what treatment will entail can be incredibly intimidating. These are only a few of the barriers that stand in the way of people seeking help – which is why only 10% of people impacted by substance use disorders receive the treatment they need.

One of our goals is to continue to dispel biases about SUDs and create an environment of transparency around what to expect from treatment. We hope that by sharing some of the behind the scenes for our processes that we can help encourage more people to take that first step.

Today we’re sharing what our intake process entails in hopes of erasing some of the fears around taking that first step towards treatment + recovery.

  1. Medical Pre-Screen: When you first walk in, you will be greeted by one of our Medical Team members and complete a COVID prescreen and temperature check.

  2. CSR Check-In: A Customer Service Specialist will assist with your registration by asking for general information to help build your client profile.

  3. Medical Assessment: Our Medical Team will perform a standard health evaluation and review medical history to ensure appropriate care is provided during your stay.

  4. Intake Coordinator: An Intake Coordinator will meet with you to complete the registration process, verify insurance, and fill out necessary applications.

  5. Clinical Assessment: A Clinician will meet with you to perform a substance use and mental health assessment to help establish your appropriate level of care.

  6. Triage Intake: Our Health Unit Coordinator will conduct the initial intake and orientation process with you. During this step, your property is inventoried, policies and procedures are reviewed, and a urine drug screen and breathalyzer  are performed.

  7. Residential Admission: If applicable after completing the intake process, you will be admitted to the Residential Program. At this step, you will be given a tour, assigned a room, and given any supplies needed.

Along each step of the process, our team of trained professionals help guide each client, answer any questions, and provide the best possible continuum of care. It’s also important to call out that each of these steps allows us to learn, connect, and communicate with the patient to create a person-centered plan that is the best fit for them + their goals.

We want to continue to share peeks into what our process entails to help provide more transparency and education to the public. We know that the more information that is out there, the greater likelihood individuals have for being aware of the support that is available + how to begin the process towards treatment.
